Trust, transparency, and purpose
About True Grit Federation
Healing is hands-on, heart-led, and stronger in community.
Who we are. Why we exist. What we’re building.
Built for the Moments That Change Everything.
True Grit Federation exists to create safe spaces for healing—where people can breathe again, feel seen, and rebuild strength through nature, community, and hands-on support.
WHY WE EXIST
Because Healing Shouldn’t Require Hiding.
True Grit Federation was created for people who have been told to “be strong,” “move on,” or “handle it quietly”—when what they really needed was space, understanding, and support that meets them where they are.
We exist because trauma does not heal through pressure or shame. It heals through safety, consistency, connection, and dignity.
Whether someone is navigating PTSD, TBI/CTE, grief, or a life-altering transition, we believe healing should feel human—not clinical, rushed, or transactional.
Trauma-informed • Dignity-first • No shame • No pressure
What Makes True Grit Different
Trauma-Informed by Design
Everything we build—spaces, programs, schedules, and language—is designed around how trauma actually impacts the nervous system, not how people are told they “should” heal.
Nature as a Partner in Healing
We integrate animals, gardens, land stewardship, and rhythm-based routines to help regulate the body, restore trust, and create a sense of safety that cannot be replicated indoors.
No Pressure. No Performance.
There are no forced timelines, no productivity metrics, and no expectation to “be okay.” Healing happens at the pace of the person—not the program.

What We’re Building — and Why It Matters
Mission
True Grit Federation creates trauma-informed, nature-based healing spaces for veterans, adolescents, and families navigating PTSD, TBI/CTE, grief, and life-altering transitions. We bring people out of isolation and into steady, dignified support—without pressure, shame, or “one-size-fits-all” programming.
Vision
A healing village where community is part of the treatment plan—gardens, animals, skills-building, and restorative connection—so people can breathe again, rebuild trust, and return to life with renewed purpose and stability.
